Washington's Home for Archery

Promoting and growing the sport of archery and bowhunting across Washington State — for every age, every skill level, every reason you picked up a bow.

Upcoming Events

WSAA hosts six State Championship tournaments every year — Indoor Multi-Color, Indoor Blueface, Safari, Marked 3D, Field, and Outdoor Target — plus a winter Mail-In League. Wherever you shoot, there's a tournament for you.

Tournament Registration
Registration for WSAA Championships and League events happens right here online.

Calendar of Events
We maintain a Calendar of Events so our Clubs and Shops can publicize their activities. Any WSAA Chartered Club or Shop can request to have their events listed.

Sectional Hosting
WSAA Clubs and Shops regularly host the NFAA NW Indoor Sectional, alongside at least one site in each NW Section state (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming). Clubs also host the NFAA NW Outdoor Sectional, rotating with the other states in the section.

National Championship
NFAA holds a National Outdoor (Field) Championship each year, rotating through East, Central, and West locations.

In view of the short notice, with WSAA Convention scheduled for 7 November and this additional technology available to us to create the consolidated list of events scheduled, we are EXTENDING the submission deadline for Calendar listings to 4 November 2026.

    1.      All requested events for the 2027 annual calendar must be submitted prior to 4 November.

    2.      Request will be submitted online only and accompanied by $10 for each shoot to be listed.

    3. A weekend event will count as one shoot.  Mention if date is in conjunction with another local event or festival in the comment field.

    4.      A Calendar Shoot may not be listed on the same dates as the a State Championship event.  Exceptions to this may be discussed and voted on by the governing body at the Annual Convention.

    5.      Events submitted after the 4 November deadline may be added at Convention; fee for late additions will be $20 per event.

    6.      All WSAA Championship tournaments, NW Sectional Championships and NFAA National Championships will be included on the Calendar without charge. Other events i.e. Senior Games, State Games, may be included if a club, shop, or individual sponsors the event by paying the $10 fee.

    7.      The WSAA Calendar will be finalized at the Annual Convention.

Hunting

Promoting Skill & Ethics
The first step in our commitment to the hunting community is promoting accurate, ethical shooting. As sportsmen, we should all strive for clean shots and clean harvests. Shooting events keep us sharp in the off season and build relationships with other knowledgeable hunters.

A Voice in Wildlife Management
The WSAA Hunting Liaison holds a seat on the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's (WDFW) Game Management Advisory Council (GMAC) — a diverse group of sportsmen who advise WDFW and its commissioners on issues like season setting, equipment changes, and wildlife-human conflict.

Defending Our Sport
Our Hunting Liaison and Hunting Committee track issues affecting archers and hunters statewide. Our goal is to be a source of information, direction, and calls to action in defense of our sport.

Conservation Partnership
WSAA is a member of Washingtonians for Wildlife Conservation, a coalition of sportsmen's groups working together to advance scientific wildlife management and protect the rights of Washington's conservationists, sportsmen, and sportswomen.

Big Game Awards
WSAA maintains a Big Game Awards program to recognize hunter achievement. For details and application forms, see the Big Game Awards Program.
